A “Digital” Dream

Mr Joshua Koh started Transcend Digital LLP when his co-founders and he dreamt about building enterprise software in Singapore and delivering them successfully to MNCs and Governments in Singapore as well as overseas.

Joshua shared that there were many challenges when he just started the company.  There were far larger competitors, lack of funding, product development challenges and many more.  He felt that his key ingredients to overcome them and be successful were to have perseverance, determination and belief in what he is doing.  In addition, be resourceful and innovation are also important factors to constantly developing new products for the company.

Transcend is a pioneer in enterprise digital marketing solutions since 2000.  They have helped companies and government agencies to reach out to the audience and communities through a multitude of digital media.  Transcend had helped to harness web properties, social networks, search engines, blogs and other media with coherent enterprise digital marketing solutions.  In enterprise technology, key brand characteristics include innovations, value and customer satisfaction.

In terms of money matters, Joshua felt that it is very important to hire a good accountant and finance manager and watch the bottom line.  This is especially true during this time of recession.  His main strategy of beating the recession is to focus and meet the needs of the key customers, and of course, keeping in mind the need to continue innovate.

Cloud computing is an evolving internet platform to deliver software as a service.  Transcend has implemented a new could service (under venture arm Massive Ideas Ventures) call Innobe - A social brainstorming utlity (www.innobe.us) which has been nominated for a pioneering technology award.


Joshua is the top winner of Shell LiveWIRE Awards in 2001.  He expressed that the award had given Transcend a platform to be heard, recognised and developed further as a budding enterprise technology startup in Singapore.
