Mr Jason Sim's success came with incredible grit and determination. Extremely hands on and a friendly and unassuming person, he started off with literally the shirt he wore on his back and worked through the ranks to achieve what he has today – the proud owner of multiple companies with businesses spanning from parallel importer of Japanese cars, car repairing, sofa manufacturing, fashion apparel manufacturer to construction firms and even becoming a boutique property developer.

Jason Parquet Specialist (S) Pte Ltd started out with a two-men operation in 1988 and expanded considerably to a medium-sized enterprise, employing more than 50 local staff, 250 foreign workers as well as more than 300 subcontractors.  Established in 1993, Jason Parquet Specialist (S) Pte Ltd (JPS) is now the leading timber flooring specialist contractor in Singapore that specialises in a variety of species of timber, parquetry and other timber joinery work like solid timber staircase, handrails and decking.

Yes, this is the man behind Jason Parquet Specialist (S) Pte Ltd. He is an unassuming man in his early 40’s with a sheepish smile and a deep passion for wood flooring. He started the company in 1988 at the age of 22, with only pennies in his pocket, but today, his company has a S$27 million annual turnover and has further spread his wings beyond Singapore.

His success he says all boils down to trust.  “If people don’t trust you as a person or your products, then how can you possibly expand?“ explained Jason Sim.  “I have built this company with not only hard work and sweat but also keeping my business dealings clean and honest.
