There are two award groups, namely secondary and post-secondary. The post-secondary category comprises students from Junior Colleges, ITE and Polytechnics.

All students, up to the age of 21 years, supported by their respective educational institutions, are eligible to participate. Ex-students who have graduated within a year at the point of application are also eligible. .

Applicants will be judged under three main categories in the competition - Education and Experimentation, Enterprise and Personal Qualities.

Applicants will then be evaluated on how they have experimented with entrepreneurship, such as organising and/or participating in sales activities like bazaars, competitions or school projects.

For the category of Enterprise, special recognition will be accorded to applicants who have demonstrated their entrepreneurial spirit through engagement in real businesses and services.

In the last category, Personal Qualities, a face-to-face interview will be conducted by a panel of judges to determine applicants’ innovativeness, leadership and passion for entrepreneurship.
